Deploy using Microsoft Hyper-V

Before starting your deployment you will need to download the latest VHD (virtual hard disk) file which can be found on the Osirium Support portal. Click here for more information.

The following steps will walk you through deploying the VHD file within your environment.

  1. Within your existing Hyper-V infrastructure, create a new virtual machine with a custom configuration.

  2. On the Before You Begin screen click Next >. Before You Begin

  3. On the Specify Name and Location screen, enter the name and location based on your preferences and click Next >. Specify Name and Location

  4. On the Specify Generation screen, select Generation 2 and click Next >. Specify Generation

  5. On the Assign Memory screen, set the Startup memory as 16384 MB, deselect the Use Dynamic Memory for this virtual machine and click Next >. Assign Memory

  6. On the Configure Networking screen, set the Connection based on your preferences and click Next >. Configure Networking

  7. On the Connect Virtual Hard Disk screen, select Use an existing virtual hard disk, browse to the download VHD file and click Next >. Connect Virtual Hard Disk

  8. On the Summary screen verify the details shown and click Finish.

  9. Wait while the virtual appliance is created.

  10. In the Virtual Machines list, right-click the new virtual appliance and click Settings.... Machine List

  11. In Security, select the Microsoft UEFI Certificate Authority template. Set Secure Boot Template

  12. In Processor, assign 8 virtual processors to the virtual appliance. Set Virtual Processors

  13. In the Virtual Machines list, right-click the virtual appliance and select Start.

  14. Once started, right-click the virtual appliance and select Connect. The virtual machine will open in a window on your desktop.
