Show filter
The SHOW FILTER
button only appears if you have meta columns configured.
To apply a filter:
-
On the Management report page, click the
SHOW FILTER
button. The Meta-column filter opens. -
Select a criteria from the drop-down listbox on how you want to filter your data. The options are ‘and’, ‘or’ and ‘not’.
-
Then you can add as many meta-column restrictions as you like by clicking on the icon.
The logic filter is then applied as follows:
-
You start with the set of all non-hidden users and devices.
-
User and device meta-columns are applied directly to those sets of users and devices.
-
Profile meta-columns first translated into a set of users and devices connected to the matching profiles and then applied to the set of users and devices.
If your selection of meta-columns was such that it didn’t directly affect one or other of the sets, then the complete set is used. Therefore,
-
If you select a device meta-column, the complete set of users will be used.
-
If you select a user meta-column, the complete set of devices will be used.
-
If you select a profile meta-column, then both users and devices will be filtered.
-
-
Next, having produced a filtered set of possible users and devices, the statistics are calculated as follows:
-
Recent tasks have to have been run by a possible user on a possible device in order to count.
-
Device connections have to have been made by a possible user on a possible device.
-
Accounts have to be linked to a possible device.
