Installation Process

From release version 8.2.0 of Osirium PAM you can deploy the PAM Server as a single standalone server or deploy two PAM Servers as a HA Pair. For further details relating to PAM HA click here.

Steps for installing a standalone PAM Server

The below diagram provides a high-level overview of the PAM Server installation process.

Installation procedure for standalone PAM Server

  1. Before starting ensure the prerequisites are met.

  2. The first step will be to deploy the software package into your chosen supported infrastructure. Click on the appropriate link below to be navigated to the deployment steps.

  3. Configuring the PAM Server
    The second step will be to run through the server configuration to complete the installation.

  4. System configuration
    The final step is to upload a valid licence and add a trusted certificate.

Steps for installing PAM Servers as a HA Pair

Installation procedure for PAM Server HA Pair

  1. The first PAM Server deployed will be classed as the Primary PAM Server. To create the Primary PAM Server deploy the software package into your chosen supported infrastructure.

  2. Once the Primary PAM Server has been deployed, run through the server configuration to complete the installation.

  3. Once the installation configuration has completed, upload a valid licence, configure an SMB filestore and upload a trusted certificate. Your Primary PAM Server is now complete.

  4. Deploy a second PAM Server which will be classed as the Secondary PAM Server. To create the Secondary PAM Server deploy the software package into your chosen supported infrastructure.

  5. Once the Secondary PAM Server has been deployed, run through the server configuration to complete the installation. The server configuration will differ from the primary.

  6. To make the primary and secondary PAM Servers a HA Pair, run through the initialise HA configuration steps.
