Configuration of a cluster follower node

This section provides instructions on how to configure a PxM Virtual Appliance leader node.

The first node created in a cluster will be identified as the cluster leader node. All nodes joining the cluster thereafter will be referred to as a follower node.

Follow these configuration steps if you are setting up a follower node in a cluster.

Downloading the cluster joining bundle

To join a node to a cluster will require a cluster joining bundle which can only be downloaded from the leader node.

  1. Log onto the leader node using the PxM UI or PxM Client and double-click Browser (HTTP) under Osirium Server to open the Web Management Interface.

  2. Within the Web Management Interface navigate to System configuration > Clustering tab.

  3. On the Clustering page click on the Download cluster joining bundle button.

  4. Within the Download cluster joining bundle? Take note of the message and then click Yes, Download button to proceed with the download.
