Osirium announced as Winners at NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) Defence Innovation Challenge.
NITEC is a flagship annual event organized by the NATO Communications & Information Agency and the Association for Communications, Electronics & Information Systems (AFCEA). It provides a unique opportunity to address how NATO and industry can collaborate more effectively through developing and delivering secure C4ISR and cyber capabilities.
#NITEC16 is being held in Tallinn, Estonia from 7-9 June 2016.
Small businesses and academia from all 28 Allies were invited to submit proposals in four focus areas of cyber defence, Internet of Things, military applications of block chains, and cognitive computing and machine learning. The NCI Agency received a total of 65 proposals from 12 Allies.
"The large number of high quality proposals we received made selection difficult," said NCI Agency General Manager Koen Gijsbers. "However, it also signals the vast potential for small businesses and academia throughout the Alliance to contribute to NATO cyber defence, and we will be working hard in the coming months to create mechanisms for closer engagement with them."
Osirium will be showcasing their Privileged Protection and Task Automation solution which maps Identities to Privileged Accounts, whilst separating users from passwords, as part of its defence against the most prolific and dangerous of cyber security threats.
