Demand for cyber security in Qatar has grown multifold after the most recent cyber-attacks and the approved penalty of 1.37 million USD.
The Naseba’s 9th Cyber Defence Summit will address the importance of protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive information, help companies procure cyber security solutions and services, and create further awareness of cyber security among the youth of Qatar.
Critical sectors in Qatar have increased their dependency on technology and state-of-the-art ICT solutions to deliver high-quality, efficient, and effective services. Qatar’s Advisory (Shura) Council has approved the draft of a landmark new data privacy law, requiring companies to increase their level of data security and protection against cyber threats. Failure to do so could result in hefty fines.
