Privileged Account Management has been ranked by leading global research company Gartner as the number one security project for 2018 that CISOs should focus on.
Speaking at Gartner’s Security & Risk Management Summit this month in Washington, DC, Vice President Neil MacDonald listed the Top 10 Security Projects for 2018 that Gartner identified as key to reducing risk and having a large impact on the business.
Of Privileged Account Management (PAM), the number one project identified, Macdonald stated, “This project is intended to make it harder for attackers to access privileged accounts and should allow security teams to monitor behaviours for unusual access.”
“Osirium has a growing base of customers who understand that PAM is an essential part of their security strategy,” commented David Guyatt, CEO at Osirium. “Osirium’s PAM solution, the PxM Platform, is not only exceptionally simple to deploy but was the first PAM solution to encompass Task Automation as a key method of closing down the cyber-attack surface.”
Osirium’s Privileged Access Management solution, the PxM Platform, helps businesses protect critical IT assets, infrastructures and devices by preventing targeted cyber-attacks from directly accessing Privileged Accounts. Unnecessary access and powers of Privileged Account users are removed, deterring legitimate Privileged Account users from abusing their roles and containing the effects of a potential breach.
Osirium was included in the list of “Cool Vendors” in the ‘Cool Vendors in Identity and Fraud Management, 2017’ report by Gartner.
