About our stand

You can find us on stand U616, where we’ll be showcasing our Privileged Access Management and Task Automation solution, the PxM Platform. We’ll demonstrate how the PxM Platform maps Identity to Privileged Accounts, whilst separating users from passwords, as part of its defence against the most prolific and dangerous of cybersecurity threats whilst helping achieve and maintain compliance standards including GDPR and Cyber Essentials. Don’t miss our seminar session delivered by our CTO, Andy Harris (more information below).

Our seminar

Osirium CTO, Andy Harris, will be running a seminar slot on day two of IP Expo Manchester, 13:00-13:30 Thursday 26th in the Cyber Threat Protection room.

About the seminar

Titled ‘Privileged Access Control & Task Automation: A Win Double of Security and Business Efficiency’, Andy’s seminar will introduce you to the world of Privileged Access Management and Tasks.

In a working example, Andy will show how a business user can be completely separated from the privileged accounts, how the business needs can be mapped into technical implementation and therefore how the privileged task can be delegated to the business user.

Andy will demonstrate how the task can be constructed so that it limits data to the identity of the business user, how human error is removed from the process and how the data is in the right place at the right time under full audit.

Warning: May contain traces of Code.

What you will take away from this session

  • How Privileged Access Management can manage critical infrastructure
  • How routine IT tasks can be securely delegated through Task Automation
  • How Privileged Access Management addresses both security and compliance requirements
  • How uncontrolled access by insiders or contractors can compromise an entire infrastructure.

About Andy

Andy has over 25 years’ experience inventing and building unique IT networking and security products. In a long and distinguished career including being Technical Director at Integralis Andy has invented many leading-edge technologies including IP Network Translation Gateway, Print Symbiont Technologies for LAN-based printers and Disaster Master, a technique of continuously updating a backup site with mirrored data.

As one of the Co-Founders and CTO of MIMEsweeper, Andy was the creator of the world’s first content security solution which became the default product in its space. Andy went on to start WebBrick Systems which was one of the pioneering Home Automation technologies, also a forerunner to what we know as IoT devices today. While serving as Engineering Director, Andy created and patented several core components in the Osirium product family.

Official Press Release

Osirium to speak at IP EXPO Manchester

Privileged Access Control & Task Automation: A Win Double of Security & Efficiency.

Reading, UK – 28 March 2018: Osirium Technologies plc (AIM: OSI.L), a leading cyber-security SaaS vendor, built on robotic process automation (RPA) technology, has today confirmed that CTO, Andy Harris, will be presenting at IP EXPO Manchester.  Hosting a compelling seminar on April 26th at 13:00, Harris will not only share how Privileged Access Management (PAM) can manage critical infrastructure but he will also detail how routine IT tasks can be securely delegated through Robotic Process Automation.

In a working example, Harris will show how a business user can be completely separated from privileged accounts, and how business needs can then be mapped onto a technical implementation. The privileged task can then be delegated to the business user,  limiting the amount of data shared to the identity of the user.   Harris will demonstrate how human error is removed from the process and how the data is in the right place at the right time under full audit.

“Privileged Access Management addresses both security and compliance requirements,” said Andy Harris, CTO at Osirium.  “Uncontrolled access from insiders, or by contractors, can compromise an entire infrastructure yet so many companies are still not doing enough to prevent passwords being shared.  We have found if you make it about the users identity, they are far more reluctant to share personal credentials.  Everyone is protective of their own ID.”

Osirium has changed the way organisations look at password protection by incorporating a virtual air gap which separates users from passwords, and has built an impressive customer base as a result.
