These days, Osirium is deployed in more and more customers and is connecting to an ever widening range of devices. We're looking for a professional services engineer to get out there and help customers deploy, evaluate and get the best from their Osirium.

The Job

This job is to assist our prospects and customers with the installation, deployment and ongoing operation of the Osirium software suite. You will be interacting with senior IT staff across a wide range of industries.

The job involves working closely with the development team to re-create and test the configurations that customers use. Our agile development process means that there are often new features that need both functional and UX (User Experience) testing.

Besides the Osirium software you'll gain a wide exposure to all the systems, devices and applications that we support.

The role requires on-site customer visits.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer facing communication skills, both telephone and in person
  • Strong developer facing communication skills
  • Strong networking skills, subnet masks, routing, understanding of typical large scale corporate networks
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity and a knowledge of good security practice
  • Proven ability to dig deep into log files, analyse sequences of events, helping to establish root causes
  • Ability to clearly analyse, identify and TRAC bugs
  • Appreciation of the software development cycle (agile, scrum etc)
  • Basic linux command line skills
  • Basic windows command line skills

Preferable Skills

  • Vendor technical experience
  • Active Directory administration
  • Linux administration
  • Basic experience of programming (reading or writing code)
  • Basic understanding of XML structures (as they relate to configurations)
  • Appreciation of two factor authentication mechanisms

Advantage Skills

  • Basic SQL command line skills
  • Basic experience in reading/writing Python
  • Experience of deploying/managing support ticketing software
