EPM Server upgrade paths

The EPM Server can be upgraded using an inline upgrade process and upgrade file. The EPM Client should also be upgraded inline with the EPM Server version.

Whilst the EPM Server is upgraded, the EPM Clients will continue function. The creation and distribution of policies will still be possible.

However, elevations will not be recorded by the EPM Server until the EPM Client is upgraded to the same version. During this time, the EPM Client will store a record of the elevations.

As soon as a user upgrades the EPM Client on their workstation, the EPM Client will send the backlog of elevation records to the EPM Server.
