Licensing & Credits

Overview

There are 2 types of licence used by PPA:

1. User Licence
2. Credits

Depending on the type of automation you are performing with PPA, you may require 1 or both.

User Licence

Controls how many users are able to start tasks in the PPA web interface.

The ability to start tasks is controlled per-user on the Users page.

Each time a user is given this ability, it will reduce the number of remaining seats by 1.

Users without this ability are free & you may import as many users as you like.

Credits

Controls how many tasks can be started via schedules or PPA's API.

Each time a task is started using one of these methods, the remaining count is reduced by 1.

This licence uses a top-up voucher system where additional credits can be added at any time.

Management

System licensing is managed on the Configuration page in the Licensing & Credits area.

Uploading

You can upload both types of licence from this page.

Auditing

Once the system has at least 1 licence uploaded, the state will be displayed on this page.
