Task Log Retention Policy

Overview

All tasks in PPA generate log files.

These files can be viewed & downloaded from the task interface if you have permission to do so.

A log retention policy can be configured to do the following when log files reach a certain age:

Configure a policy to minimise the disk space consumed by these logs.

If you wish you push the log files to an SFTP server, you will need to configure SFTP first.

The log retention policy can be set up on the Configuration page in the Tasks area.

The age each log file needs to be before the retention policy is applied to it.

The action to perform against each log file that fits the retention period.

This is where you can choose whether to:

Moving logs to an SFTP server will be disabled if you do not have SFTP configured

The time the retention policy should run.

Once set up & enabled, the retention policy will run at this time every day.

The timezone for the chosen schedule time.
